Welcome

Hello & Welcome! 11/30/22

The short story: I’m not teaching yoga at the moment. Visit my main site jennaweintraub.com to see what I’m up to.

The long story: I’m so glad you are here. I need to offer many of you an apology. Many of you have been inquiring about Body Love Yoga lately. Once COVID hit in March 2020, the yoga studio I was teaching at closed. From there, I haven’t taught since. Space was offered to be between me and yoga, and I took it. Now, I’m not sure where teaching yoga fits in my life. Much of what I’m doing now is holding space for folks to explore their relationship with their bodies through reflection, mindfulness, activities, and discussion. As a Be Body Positive licensed facilitator I teach from a model comprised of five core life skills or competencies that promote a healthy, confident relationship to the body. Practicing these skills (yes this truly is a practice) allow people to care for themselves in body, mind and spirit from a place of self-love and appreciation. Each competency is supported by numerous independent research studies. Embodying the five competencies reconnects individuals with their natural resources of trust, intuition, self-love and connectedness with others. The model offers a sustainable framework for living in one’s body that is free from double binds, judgement, and blame and honors the influence of unique life circumstances on self-care. In the future, I hope to incorporate the connecting power of yoga with this work. Sign up for my email list to know what’s next.

And always, come as you are, we’ll make it work. I promise.

Hi! I am interested in trying yoga, but I am not in the best shape and do not have very good flexibility. This curvy yoga class looked like something I might like. What is the cost, and is it just walk in or do I need to sign up?

Hi Rose! Curvy Yoga sounds perfect for you. Yoga isn’t about being flexible or being in ‘good’ shape, even though that is what the current yoga world looks like. You can just show up at YogaVibe Thursdays at 6:00 and buy a drop in class for $15 and see how you like it. I’m happy to chat on the phone or meet a little early before class to give you more info. Here isthe studio’s website: http://www.yogavibe585.com/.
